NZ SWY 21 delegation gathers in Wellington

Members of the NZ SWY 21 delegation gathered in Wellington on the weekend of 17 - 19 July. The weekend started off with a dinner at Areti Metuamate's house and then an early start the next day with a trip up the Kapiti coast to Paekakariki where the group spent time planting trees at the Queen Elizabeth II national park. The tree planing took place for a few hours and is part of the delegation's commitment to contributing to conservation projects which is becoming a bit of a theme for SWY NZ.

That evening the delegation had dinner with the SWYNZ President and also celebrated Vice-President, Tai Ahu's birthday at a leading Wellington restaurant. As with all SWY reunions/gatherings, the evening included much laughter, conversation and dance!

The next day (Sunday) some of the delegation spent the morning putting their creative energy to use designing and painting banners for the Wellington branch of Youthline to use as part of their promotion work.

The NZ SWY 21 delegation plans to meet next in Auckland where they hope to undertake further projects where they can give something to the community. If you have any ideas - please let them know via this website.
