The
Ship for World Youth Alumni Association
The
New Zealand Ship for World Youth Alumni Association 'NZSWYAA' is
an organisation that was set up in 1999 for the ex-participants
of the Ship for World Youth programme 'SWY'. The NZSWYAA is proud
to have the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Helen Clark MP
as patron of the association. Miss Clark participated in the programme
in the early 1970's. We also work in close co-operation and partnership
with the Ministry of Youth
Development.
All
ex-participants 'expy's' are able to join the alumni, and application
for must be completed and there is an annual fee that goes towards
administration costs.
The
advantages of being and alumni member are that you have access to
future programs such as the 21st century Renaissance Youth Leaders
Invitation programme, as well as the National
Leader position for future SWY programs. There is
also the annual Tokyo conference for members who are involved with
the committee.
You
will also benefit from being on our mailing list which keeps you
in contact with what other expy's are doing, and we hold a regular
reunion where you can meet expy's from many other programs.
